Questions merchants ask
Where do my subscribers go?
Into your Shopify customers, with email marketing consent recorded (subscribed, the date, and single or confirmed opt-in) and the tag mint-popups. Shopify Email and most email apps sync from there. We don't keep our own copy of anyone's email address.
Will it slow down my store?
No. The popup is a single small script loaded with defer from Shopify's CDN, and your popup settings are embedded in the page, so there's no extra request before a popup can show. Nothing is drawn until a trigger fires, and popups float above the page so nothing shifts.
Is it GDPR and CAN-SPAM friendly?
It gives you the tools: editable consent text with an automatic link to your privacy policy, an optional unticked consent box, an always-visible close button and a record of consent in Shopify. You remain responsible for how you email your subscribers, such as including your address and an unsubscribe link (Shopify Email does this for you).
How do unique discount codes work?
On Pro, each new subscriber gets their own single-use code created in Shopify Discounts, with the value, minimum order and expiry you choose. One code per email address per popup.
What happens on the Free plan after 200 signups?
Your popup pauses until the first of next month. Nothing is charged automatically; upgrade to Pro for unlimited signups whenever you like.
